As the center of Buddhism, Taoism of Vietnam  for centuries, Hanoi has many temples for hundreds of years old; although many changes undergone,  they still retain ancient. In those, the most ancient one is Tran Quoc Pagoda, built in the reign of King Ly Nam De. Another symbol of Hanoi’s One Pillar Pagoda, temple architecture lotus Vietnam’s most unique. At the heart of the city, it’s in Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son temple remain ancient. In addition, West Lake has been a favorite tourist attraction.

Since the 19th century, many churches were built , and The Big Church is the largest one in Hanoi. Adding to this,  Cua Bac church is also remarkable for typical French colonial architecture.

Hanoi’s Old Quarter is a unique feature of the city with houses, streets still retaining the look of them from the late 19th century. Hanoi tourists can wander the streets all day , explore the little nooks which is quite peaceful, which is busy.

 Visiting Hanoi, tourists also can not miss  Ba Dinh Square, the political center of Vietnam, Parliament House, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum – where is preserving the corpse of Ho Chi Minh.

After the merger with Ha Tay, Hanoi also has many tourist areas of Ha Tay as: Ba Vi National Park, Kings Pond, two streams,: Hai and Nga, Ngo Quyen Tomb, Phung Hung Mausoleum, Huong Pagoda …


Hanoi has many large sports clubs  and important sports facilities of Vietnam. One of which is the national stadium My Dinh located in south of the city. This is the place attracting a lot of international tourists.

Tourists coming to Hanoi should also visit the city’s Opera House, built by the French. This is one of the cultural centers of Hanoi, where frequent hold cultural activitiesand art performances. And it is also the center of the conferences and meetings.

Hanoi is also special because there are so many lakes in the heart of the city, and the city is surrounded by rivers.


The most famous is Hoan Kiem Lake,  located on the right in the heart of the city, where usually takes place the major cultural activities of the city, such as cultural performances, fireworks. This place is also set middle of many young people and tourist.

 Unlike Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake is located far from the city center.  West Lake is the largest lake in Hanoi, where is relatively peaceful atmosphere despite being the focus of many young people. Enjoying the sunset on West Lake is one thing to do when you visit Hanoi.

 Hanoi also has the famous villages such as Bat Trang pottery village, Ngu Xa bronze casting village, Yen Phu village … keeping the traditional culture of the nation.
